Straight Trippin’
When I signed up for classes during the first wave registration, I was overjoyed that all I had to do was add two codes and I was done. DONE. Didn’t have to worry about adding any more courses during the second wave or having to prioritize over which classes would be harder to enroll in. No. That was all over and I made plans to take it easy and get on with grad school pre-reqs (which wouldn’t be a big deal if I don’t get ‘em this time).
And then I get the e-mail from my professor that changes everything..
“Hello Students, I am sorry to say that the KIN 680 class for next semester is being cancelled.”
FUCK. ME.
Now, to further explain the situation, he has a serious medical problem that needs to be taken care of. I completely understand and I pray that he gets better soon. What I am slightly irked about is that the department couldn’t arrange for another professor to teach it or guarantee us spots in another class (at least for us graduating seniors). So.. here I am.. stressed out over classes because I am on the bottom of nearly every waitlist for all the classes I could possibly sub 680 with. I also have to get things signed off by my advisor, who just so happens to be the ill professor. Oy.
Why does this stuff keep happening to me? I mean, if it’s not one thing, it’s another. I just can’t wait for undergrad to be over with. It has certainly been a looooong time comin’.
