A little sad. The above pattern is sold out both online and in stores. Le sad face.
I’ve come to realize that when I have a shitload of time on my hands, I have no idea how to manage it whatsoever.
Remember my previous post about getting all crafty with the aprons? Yeeeah.. I’ve spent a lot of time looking up different apron styles and searching for specific fabrics and trims (because when I have something in mind, I have to have it). I searched for hours on end looking through Etsy shops, online fabric companies, and craft stores in hopes of finding the perfect fabrics. I had to order quite a few from catalogs, but they were exactly what I was looking for so I’m not complaining. Anywhoozie, this process took days. Researching different cloth types, sketching out the designs, finding the materials - took so much more time and effort than I thought (and it probably didn’t help that I stopped by a few specialty baking supply stores along the way) and I completely forgot about my online class.
Tsk, tsk, tsk…
I guess being not as busy as I usually am has made lose all sense of time. Like my perception of time is completely out of whack or something. Or maybe it’s just that I’m no longer living my days according to a firm schedule. I mean, I used to “pencil in” when to have my meals in my planner and I had every hour labeled with something to do. Heck, I even scheduled in TV time. And, now, I just have to remember what day it is. I think that’s the problem. I don’t have a planner this year and, up until this point, I have relied on one to keep my hectic life in order. I haven’t been able to designate days or hours for certain activities, so I easily get carried away with a simple project. At least I caught this early on. I’m kind of shocked at how much planning rules me. Even in my spontaneous moments, I still take a second to mull over what I’m about to do. I’m just the type to survive on organization. I must have structure.
I gotta go buy a stupid planner.
A rep from the NASM left me a voice message and he kept calling me Señorita with such gusto. I laugh every time I think about it.
So many ideas for d-i-y projects running through my head that I can’t sleep. Good thing I have time to do them, thanks to my new schedule. I somehow managed to jam-pack work, my internship, and school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
That means 5 days every week to do whatever the hell I want.
